BSc Fees

Image BSc in Integrative EcoSocial Design

Please note:  For programs offered by Gaia University International we are offering a scholarship subsidy for people who have less access to economic resources. The fees in the chart at the bottom of this page labeled Economy 2 and 3 reflect this scholarship subsidy. The fees at the top of the page are for E1 economies. Please see our strategies regarding Tuition Fees for further information.

Year 1

Tuition and fees $6,900

PLUS

IESD 101 and technical immersion: approximately $1200- $2400*

NOTE: Tuition fees include all beginning and ending workshops as listed in the program descriptions as well as Career Review Adviser, Process Adviser, Project Design Adviser, Specialist Adviser and Output Review fees for support and consultation.  They do not include the fees for room and board at the teaching venue.  These fees are set by the venue and are paid directly to them.  Room and board costs are approximately $35-50 per day.  Our fees also do not include any special apprenticeships or extra courses or workshops you might wish to take to support your pathway. For Year 1 of the BSc program our fees do not include the fee for the IESD101 and technical immersion. *

*The IESD 101 and the technical immersion may be taken with any workshop provider who meets the requirements to offer a Permaculture Design Certificate or Ecovillage Design certificate. Technical immersions can be taken at any time during the first two years and should be a total of 5-7 days depending on the topic. The choice of technical immersions will be discussed with your process or project design advisor.

Associates who have already taken either the Permaculture Design Course (PDC) or the Ecovillage Design Course (EDE) may apply for Accreditation for Prior Learning (APL) on their application form. Associates who have already completed an Associates degree program or part of a Bachelor's program or have substantial work experience may apply for APL or APE (Accreditation for Prior Experience) on their application form.

Year 2: Tuition and fees: $6900: (plus any optional immersions/apprenticeships)

Year 3: (Optional Supported Career Year) Fees: $3500: (plus any optional immersions/apprenticeships)

In Year 3 there is no requirement for residential intensives . The associate receives Process Advising and Project Design Advising support but no Output Packets are required.

Year 4: Tuition and fees: $8600: (plus any optional immersions/apprenticeships)

In Year 4 (Capstone Year) project mentoring fees, accreditation fees and graduation are included.

NOTE: Room and board and travel to and from the venue are not included in the fees. All end of year intensives are scheduled to coincide with beginning of year intensives so that only two trips to the venue are needed each year.

It is anticipated that associates will be involved in project work, immersions, apprenticeships, paid work, courses or other supportive activities during the "Career" part of their program. These activities are individually designed and are not costed into tuition and fees.
