Additional Fees and Costs Beyond Tuition

Many Gaia University associates world-wide will be fulfilling all their required courses online. Others will be close enough to an allied association to be able to join other associates for face-to-face, mid-year and end-of-year workshops. These programs are recommended whenever possible and will be paid directly to the partner association. They are not included in tuition fees paid to Gaia University. 

External Courses and Workshops

Tuition also does not include the cost of any additional courses, workshops, internships and apprenticeships you may choose to take during your program year.

Required Courses and Prerequisites

For Year 1 of the bachelor’s program, our fees do not include the costs of the required Permaculture Design Certificate course or an Ecovillage Design Course. This course is also a pre-requisite prior to entering into the master's IESD program as well as the International Diploma in Permaculture Design. The cost of these workshops generally range from $1200 to $2400 USD. This required content workshop may be taken with any workshop provider who is certified to offer a Permaculture Design Certificate or Ecovillage Design Education Certificate.
